PopupDummy! can now normalize your web browsers. That is, some web pages play nasty. They popup and do not have a button to even close it. Or they might not have a menu bar or address bar, in a vain attempt to keep you from closing it. PopupDummy! can make sure all your web browser windows have a Menu bar, Address Bar, Tool bar, and are Resizeable.

SETTINGS
==========
1. INSTALLING
After installing the software, run PopupDummy! by double-clicking
it's icon on your desktop.
Note, the next time you turn on your computer (restart), PopupDummy!
will automatically run upon startup as an icon is placed in your Startup
folder.
2. SOUNDS
You can select your own sound effect to be played when a popup
is blocked. Just checkmark the PLAY SOUNDS field. Click BROWSE
to find a .WAV file on your computer to use as the sound effect.
3. BLOCKING ALL BROWSERS LOCAL OR REMOTE
This option is the maximum protection against popups. It will
block any web browser (except the first one) from popping up. It is
able to catch almost every popup window.
The only drawback to this feature, is that it may also block
web browsers that you attempt to launch locally. If this is a problem,
just disable the option and use normal blocking.
4. HOTKEY
This is the key that you can hold down while browsing to allow
popups to go through. For instance if you have the CONTROL key set to
allow popups. Hold down the CONTROL key, click on a link on the website
that you know will bring up a popup. The popup will then be allowed to go
through.
5. WHITELIST (Safe Sites)
This contains the list of web sites that you specify as "safe" to allow
popups on. Enter the sites by domain substring. For instance, to allow all
popups on the web site "http://www.dummysoftware.com/download.html", you only
need to type in "dummysoftware.com" (without quotation marks). Any web address
your browser goes to that contains any substring in the whitelist will allow
popups.
6. HISTORY OF POPUP SITES
The list on the main window shows you web address from sites that attempted
to spawn a popup window. If you wish to visit the web address just click the
VISIT button and a browser will launch at that web address.
NOTE: If you wish to view the popups from that window too, you must hold down
the hotkey (such as the CONTROL key) while clicking the VISIT button to allow
popups to go through, otherwise they will get blocked by PopupDummy! again.
